House on the Mesa
The House on the Mesa is designed to celebrate its place in the landscape. Located on a mesa overlooking a valley near Ojo Caliente, the site features exquisite views of Tecolote and Glovo peaks. The home is placed near the edge of the mesa to take advantage of the spectacular scenery. Sloped roofs float over corten steel and rammed earth walls while large window expanses open out the landscape. Sliding glass walls connect the Great room out to a patio including an outdoor fireplace and infinity edge swimming pool. The patio includes panoramic views out over the river valley, 500 feet below. Bedrooms are placed adjacent to support spaces while the Master Bedroom is located on the far side of the home for privacy. It includes a private patio and framed views to Glovo peak. Corten Steel cabins for guests are sprinkled throughout the pinon–juniper forest on the edge of the mesa.
