Nueva Acequia

Nueva Acequia is a multi-family housing development that is located near retail, entertainment, restaurants, and bike/ walking paths.

The name Nueva Acequia means ‘new irrigation ditch’. This is manifested in an acequia that runs through the courtyard and is fed by rainwater catchment. The massing of the building is inspired by the stepped pueblo buildings, such as the Taos Pueblo.

The building is oriented around a central courtyard and allows residents a private and inviting place to gather. Solar panels are used on roofs and covered parking to help contribute to the sustainability of the building.
